They should be as popular as Cannibal Corpse, maybe more so, but for some reason aren't... I just had a binge of their albums yesterday. Fucking awesome. So crafty and calculated with their riffs, yet theres something so accesable and instantly catchy about them too.. Get "Despise The Sun" or "Souls To Deny" if your a first timer to this band.

    I'm very fond of "Effigy..." and "Pierced..." There's no one else who can create a sound as viciously mechanical and apocalyptic.

    Heh.. that's probably the first time I've ever seen 'catchy' applied to a brutal death metal band. Seriously though, Suffocation kills, Thrones of Blood is probably my favorite death metal song ever.
